TERMS OF SERVICE FOR ERRANDEER LIMITED (CLIENT AGREEMENT)
Welcome to Errandeer Limited. By using our website and platform tools to post tasks or book service providers, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms of Service.
1. THE PLATFORM DEFINITION
Errandeer Limited is a digital marketplace platform. We provide an online matchmaking network that connects independent contractors (“Taskers”) with customers (“Clients”) seeking real-world help with errands or services. Errandeer Limited does not perform services, does not employ Taskers, and does not act as an employer, agent, or joint venture partner to any user. The legal contract for any task performance is strictly between the Client and the Tasker.
2. ESCROW PAYMENT MECHANISM
When you submit an errand request and book a Tasker, your credit card or debit card will be billed immediately for the total gross value of the job. Errandeer Limited will securely hold these funds in a platform escrow bank account. Funds remain locked in escrow until the Tasker marks the assignment as completed on the platform dashboard. Once marked complete, funds are automatically processed for disbursement to the Tasker, minus our platform commission tracking fee.
3. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUND PROTOCOL
Clients may cancel a booked errand without penalty up to two (2) hours before the scheduled task start time. Cancellations made within less than two hours of the start window are subject to a cancellation processing fee. Once a Tasker completes a job and updates the system dashboard order status to “Complete,” funds are non-refundable. If you believe a task was not performed or was performed fraudulently, you must submit an official written dispute to Errandeer Support within twenty-four (24) hours of job completion. Failure to log a dispute within 24 hours constitutes absolute client authorization to release the escrow funds to the Tasker.
4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the absolute maximum extent permitted under Jamaican law, Errandeer Limited, its directors, and its operators assume zero liability for any personal injuries, property damage, vehicular accidents, theft of goods, financial losses, delays, or poor workmanship caused by an independent Tasker. Taskers are un-employed contractors. Our total aggregate financial liability to any client for any claim arising from a platform transaction is strictly capped at the exact platform matching fee paid by that specific client to Errandeer Limited for that single individual task transaction.
5. STRICT NO-CASH AND MATERIAL PURCHASE RULES
Clients are strictly prohibited from paying Taskers using physical cash or giving Taskers personal money upfront to purchase materials. All payments for tasks, tip adjustments, material reimbursements, or additional delivery fees must be authorized and processed securely through the Errandeer online digital checkout system. Any arrangement of offline cash transfers will result in the immediate and permanent deactivation of your customer account.
6. REIMBURSEMENTS AND TASK SUPPLIES
If an errand requires a Tasker to buy physical goods or items (such as groceries or materials) on your behalf, the Client must add the exact estimated item cost to the task budget before checkout. The Tasker will upload digital receipt images to your chat dashboard. You are solely responsible for ensuring the escrow balance covers all structural material outlays prior to delivery execution.
7. INDEPENDENT INFORMAL DISPUTE MEDIATION
In the event of a dispute regarding work quality, incomplete tasks, or transactional accuracy, the Client agrees to submit a formal ticket to Errandeer Support. You explicitly agree to grant Errandeer Limited a minimum window of thirty (30) days to mediate, investigate, and informally negotiate a resolution between yourself and the Tasker prior to initiating any external legal proceedings or filing credit card chargebacks.
8. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service are governed exclusively by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica. Any legal disputes that cannot be settled via informal platform mediation must be handled exclusively within the jurisdiction of the corporate courts of Jamaica
